Hi
Ive read that any Hotmail accounts already created would continue to work in OE until April after then you have to pay.Is there any other email server that i can use through OE.I have a lot of stationary that i use with OE.
Ive tryed foxmail but got stuck with setting up account and not sure what to put in stmp and pop3.
Could someone help me out with both questions
Thank you |

Those text ads don't offend me in any way .
I know that you do not like the concept but i do not consider it privacy theft.
Maybe its because all my mails is in danish !
Gmail hasn't got a clue on what i'm writing. It brings up any sort of text ads... some about money, some about golf courses and lots of other things .

Hmm...I actually didn't even notice there were ads until now
They are very tiny, off to the side, and inconspicuous. Most of my emails don't have any. It seems all of my emails in Thunderbird don't have ads too. I assume they scan everything, but only serve ads if you check email through a browser.
Well, the notion of email scanning sounds sort of spooky, but I guess gmail found my Achilles Heel. My email for years (ever since I started using the internet) has been Juno, but they recently moved all free accounts to web-based only mail with 2MB . I hate using my school email accounts as primary since they will be gone when I graduate. If the scanning system is like Google says it is , and nothing more , I guess I can live with that. |

Though im not sure about the $ though i dont know what they are no only joking, i think it would cost me more than 5$ to send you the 5$ anyway we dont have paypal over here so im stuck with sending certified cheques or bank notes if i want to pay something overseas, it can be a pain. Anyway thanks again. Heather. |

heather he was most likely jokeing on the $5
but any email addy or cliant or what have you your still going to need
to becarefull not pening atachments and the same security threats are in them all. your going to need an av scaner and firewall and spyware programs that don,t change just because you change emails!!! _________________ RFID tags! SPYWARE

| Thanks, i never open attachments in emails unless i know who its from. Ive got avast and AVG both upto date and theres spybot and adawareSE as well as spysweeper. At the moment the pc is spyware and virus/trojan free and i hope to keep it that way. While im here a question how do i disable 1 of the 2 avs so that only one is on start up and active at the moment ive got both of them on start up and to be honest im a bit scared to just turn 1 off, that sort of thing isnt my strong point. Heather. |

i hope both those av,s are not set to do real time scanning?? thats not good will cause nothing but problems. i have norton set for real time and avg as an on demand scanner. i use housecall online scan once a week as well. _________________ RFID tags! SPYWARE

ok when you install an antivirus program it watches your system in reall time mode and is actually scaning all running processes and scans emails and d/l,s etc. so if you have two of these running at the same time doing all these things at absolute best it will use up excesive system resources. at worst they will not actually catch a virus because there conflicting with each other. or seeing eachother as viruses. _________________ RFID tags! Do i need to change anything or can i leave as is. AVG is version 7 and avast is version 4. Thanks for the help heather. |

when you installed avg did you install resident sheild?
its runing with avast if you did.
and only way to disable avg resident sheild is to uninstall it and reinstall it but don,t install resident sheild.
your lucky nothing has nailed you so far. you should only ever have one av set for real time running! ie resident shield. _________________ RFID tags! SPYWARE

| Yeah both have got the resident shield on them i think i can turn it off on the AVG as theres a properties button which opens up and tells me all the stuff its scanning so if i uncheck all those things and apply that should shut down the resident shield shouldnt it? |

I could but that would be gamling and thats haram (forbidden) here so i guess my luck just ran out Thanks for the help i tried it and it did turn the resident shield off but when i came back to it this am i found that my dear other half had turned it back on again, im affaid its a losing battle trying to convince him that certain programs are ok and others not or that you should do this or that and not do something else, though i do keep trying, at least i won the battle of the av's he wanted all the fancy pay ones and i said they werent as good as AVG and avast in the end i got my way |

| that sounds like a rendering error. Check out your video card, perhaps your drivers are out of date. Is the F@H icon showing in the lower right corner? If the program is working, the number of frames done should be slowly increasing. |
