When you register for the forum, you must agree to the terms. Be sure to click on the correct link for your age - if you are 13 or over click on the first link.
You must use a valid email address to register. Shortly thereafter you should receive an email with a link for you to confirm that you registered. By clicking on that link your account will be activated. Please DO NOT use your email address as your username. We will assist you to change it if you do.
If you use an invalid email address or make a mistake entering it, you will not recieve a confirmation. It's also possible the confirmation email could be kicked out by a spam filter. To prevent the emails from being snagged by a spam filter, you can put the forum email address in your contacts list, safe list, or white list. I especially recommend this for users registering with a Comcast email address.
If you registered with a valid email address and do not receive a confirmation email, first please check your spam folder or junk mail folder, especially if you use a Comcast email address. If no luck there, then please send an email to forum management:
forum (at) REMOVETHISspywarewarrior (dot) com, (using the correct format)
so that an admin can manually activate your account.
Be sure to tell us the username (nickname) you registered with as we are not mind readers and don't have ESP.
PLEASE do not register twice. Users who register twice, unless told to do so by a forum admin or mod, are are subject to having one or both accounts deleted.
Updated on July 17, 2005. Please read:
it has been brought to my attention that usernames with non-ASCII characters may be displayed incorrectly by the forum software. For that reason, we require that all usernames use only ASCII compatible characters from now on. That means usernames containing only letters and numerals of the English alphabet.
Thanks for your understanding and cooperation. _________________ Former Microsoft MVP 2005-2009, Consumer Security
