Just ran across what I think is a newer trojan called System Progressive Protection. It is a phony antivirus / antimalware trojan that hijacks your security. I just removed it from a laptop here at work that is a co-worker's company laptop. We think he picked it up this morning off our own company's homepage which got hacked over the weekend. ( Our main office's IT people are already fixing the homepage) I did a search and found instructions on how to remove it on Bleeping Computer. I downloaded and installed RKILL in safe mode and ran MBAM after RKILL shut down the trojan. I figured it got past the antivirus we use because our company homepage is listed as a trusted and safe site.
