What will you do if we let you go home,
And the plastics all melted,
And so is the chrome?
Who are the brain police?
What will you do when the label comes off,
And the plastics all melted,
And the chrome is too soft?
Who are the brain police?
Think Im very tired and Im going to die
I think Im going to die, I think Im going to die
Who are the brain police?
What will you do if the people you knew
Were the plastic that melted,
And the chromium too? |

Due to popular demand and numerous requests here's one more tune:
| Quote: |
We are the other people
We are the other people
You're the other people too
Found a way to get to you...
Do you think that I'm crazy?
Out of my mind?
Do you think that I creep in the night
And sleep in a phone booth?
Let me take a minute and tell you my plan
Let me take a minute and tell who I am
If it doesn't show
Think you better know
I'm another person
Do you think that my pants are too tight
Do you think that I'm creepy?
Let me take a minute and tell you my plan
Let me take a minute and tell who I am
If it doesn't show
Think you better know
I'm another person |

That's cool. I often like music other people find too complex, weird and inpredictable. That stretches from free jazz, contemporary classic, experimental electronica/ambient/glitch to sound collages. Abstraction is not an issue for me so long as you can recognise a structure that differentiates a work from arbitrary randomness.

I write music, am doing a movie soundtrack as well (way too many sidelines out here!)
Anyhoo, here is one of mine, based on a game. It is ambient but it has a regular structure. I do write some that appear to be random but have their own structure, at least to me.

Good bassline from an analog synthesizer, by the way Also, no drums, it isn't a danceable thing (too much of that). All tracks are done live except for the speech which was laid down first.... _________________ For this is the place

Thanks. It uses an ESQ-1 and sampler and Audity for the audio edit into a 4 track hard drive recorder.
(ESQ-1 has analog filter outputs, so it is a helluva hybrid) _________________ For this is the place

I have had my brain surgically removed (it is easier to use Vista that way) so the 'Brain Police' don't scare me anymore...You'll never take me alive coppers! _________________ Cry, 'Havoc!' and let slip the dogs of war.
