Quote from C-net "In the age of spyware, worms, and other malware, a good computer security tool is a must. This download promises to preserve users from nasties such as phishing, spyware and Web bugs, but we found its features--as well as the actual protection offered--to be regrettably limited.
The program allows users to add to a list of Web hosts that should be blocked from accessing a computer, but offers no automatic update feature. When we purposely installed adware on our machine, the program allowed most of it to run without question.
The program didn't even stop the pop-ups produced by these pests. We'd recommend that users who are serious about protecting their computer from both nuisances and real dangers look for a stronger piece of software." |

Neither, by the look of it. Reviews at Cnet aren't great, one user accusing it of "Rogue" status, but it actually appears to be a licensed clone of SpyBlocker.
Other users opinions vary from extremely negative, to glowing praise, with not much in between.
I don't go by (solely) Cnet reviews if I'm actually contemplating installing something, but in this case, those reviews would appear adequate to me. |

Spystopper Pro is considered a rogue product by Malwarebytes (www.malewarebytes.org)
This is an up-to-date source for information on rogue software. _________________ LDH |

http://www.malwarebytes.org/roguenet.php is the one I looked at, and neither Spystopper nor Spy stopper are on it.
Is there another Malwarebytes rogue list? |

itcompany.com has been in the hpHosts file (can't speak for others) since hpGuru ran it;
http://hosts-file.net/?s=itcompany.com
What URL are you using for the SpyBlocker website?
I installed SpyBlocker btw ...... it killed my machine (had to restore the system to get it back up and running) _________________ Regards
