Sounds like there is a conflict between some programs - has she installed multiple antivirus programs? More often than not they will conflict and stop Windows from working properly.
Try running system restore - hole down the Ctrl key and then press Alt and Delete - so all three keys are held down at once to launh the Task Manager.
Then go to File -> New Task and type in %systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe to start System Restore, and see if you can restore to a date prior to when Windoze stated playing up.
If you can't launch system restore, try booting in safe mode - keep pressing the F8 key when you boot the computer - before the Windows logo comes up, and you will be shown a boot menu where you can select to boot in safe mode. If you can do this launch system restore as above or from the start menu. |

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, she tried all of those options before and after and the system restore, it seemed to make the matter worse.
What happend was, when she system restored, the computer would only go to the black windows load screen and then flashes a blue window with a lot of random numbers (unable yto read the numbers as it is too quick) and the computer reboots. After which the same thing happens again!
Any further suggestions?
Many Thanks |

| Press F8 when you boot the computer to bring up the startup menu when you select Safe Mode, but instead select "Disable Automatic Restart on System" This will cause the computer not to reboot at the blue screen of death, so you will have some information on the error. |

Boot the computer and press F8 to get the startup menu, and select "Disable Automatic Restart on System Failure"
Doing tihs causes the computer not to reboot when the blue screen of death comes up, and you will be able to read the information there. Post back here what error mesage you get. |
