On my wife's computer I have been having problems getting Windows update to download and install Office and Windows.net 2.0 and 3.0 service packs. After I downloaded the bat file from http://wiki.castlecops.com/Windows_Update_Fix
and killing ctfmon.exe from the task list I was able to get the office updates to install but the Windows.net updates still fail with error code 0x0641 ( if my failing memory serves me correctly). Anyway I am runnning out of ideas other than reinstall windows XP PRO on her machine and am looking for a little help.

You shouldn't have to reinstall. |

Here are the error messages I get. from the Windows review your update history
Error Code: 0x641
Try to install the update again, or request help from one of the following resources.
