Has anyone done it and if so, did it cause any problems? _________________ Former Microsoft MVP 2005-2009, Consumer Security

hello
suzi i useally tell them to remove sp2 from add/remove. but it does not allways uninstall from there so system restore is needed.
but if sp2 was on computer longer than they have restore points there sol!
but after removeing sp2 i allways recomend doing this!
Goto start,run,type
sfc /scannow click ok incert xp cd when asked.
be warned recovery cd,s will not work for this!
sfc /scannow how to: http://www.updatexp.com/scannow-sfc.html
run crap cleaner or other regcleaner is about all you can do. as for damageing the system nothing i can directly say was done by sp2.
leaveing things behind yes lots its microsoft!!! _________________ RFID tags! SPYWARE

Check the second thing in the list and see what you think about it. _________________ Former Microsoft MVP 2005-2009, Consumer Security

hello
it would be useing the same uninstaller as in add/remove so it would leave the same behind. i know there have been a few peple add/remove did not have the uninstaller. so thx this gives me a new way to get rid of it.
i beleave spyware and viruses are the main reason sp2 screws up so bad when it installs. _________________ RFID tags! SPYWARE
