Spyware Warrior

I am fairly new to computing, got my first pc about four years ago and still using it.

I have modified my WinME OS quite a bit and it performs well for me.

I am a Mozilla user (since 1.0, Netscape 6 prior to that) who does not like using IE except for Windows Update and I only apply CRITICAL updates, no drivers etc. from there; I always go to the manufacturer of graphics card etc. for driver updates.

I use no spyware prevention programs such as Spywareblaster, since I use Mozilla there seems to be no need for that. I do use Spybot S&D to remove usage tracks etc., but it has never found any spyware/malware on my system since the first time I ran the check for problems when it found leftover backweb entries from CarbonCopy32 which I had uninstalled many months prior to SSD.

I use Norton Antivirus 2001 (fully subscribed and updated), BOClean 4.11, Registryprot, and Kerio Personal Firewall 2.1.5 and am on a dial up connection. I also have installed A Squared Free which seems to do a thorough system scan for trojans, but I would have been thoroughly disappointed in my other precautions had it found any malware on my system, which it did not.

Just for grins and giggles, I'd run over to PestPatrol or Trend Micro and run thier free scans, see what pops up. I'd be surprised if nothing showed. And, also, try SpySweeper, it has a free 30 day trial with one free definitons update. It couldn't hurt to be sure, I have run them all once, and have come up clean.

I ran Trend Micro's scan recently, then had to delete twenty three files the online scan placed in my Windows folder.

Nothing suspicious was found.
