I received this in my hotmail and yahoo account from someone that is in my address book. But it wasn't from them, their email address was impersonated.

Thanks

hello run these and see what they find!
pick "one" of the trojin scanners. more if not solved.
aČ Free is also a good malware cleaner and can be downloaded from: http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/download/?
TrojanHunter (trial) CastleCops http://computercops.biz/downloads-file-83.html Excelent app!
ewido trojin scanner CastleCops http://computercops.biz/downloads-file-357.html (w2k-xp only)has free version.
--------
Use "one" of these free on-line scanners (note some spyware, viruses and trojins have been known to disable PC based AV scanners):
http://housecall.trendmicro.com or firefox friendly http://uk.trendmicro-europe.com/enterprise/products/housecall_launch.php http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/com/activescan_principal.htm.

Thanks so much for replying to my message, it has helped tremendously.

I do have another peice of evidence regarding its origin. I forgot to mention that an email from my EX-girlfriends email address was sent to me that had a virus attached to it , but like the one my girlfriend apparantly sent me in the "sent" field it had her whole email address and not what i have her down in my address book. Anyway, my girlfriend replied to the one that looked like i sent her but i never recieved anything, I replied to the email that looked like the one she sent me but she never recieved anything either.
Now here's the kicker, I replied to the email that looked like my EX-girlfriend sent me and she DID recieve it and sent me an email back from that reply with the way i have her down in my address book.

Now why would she be only one recieving a reply email from the bogus ones that were sent in the first place? My guess is that she is behind the sending of these emails.

Does this mean anything at all?

Thanks again.

Yep, it means that her email address was 'spoofed' and you/she fell for it.

You received an email which appeared to come from her, and she replied to it (which, by the way is a strict no-no)

Take a look at these pages:
HTML in eMail

How to Analyze E-mail Headers

TIP: HTML in Email: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Perhaps that will clue you in a little.

Also, if using OE as Primary email Client, disable 'Preview Pane' please.
