Hi,
I don't understand why when it comes to Spyware and
adware, soooooooo ... many people recommend Spybot S&d.
Yeah, it is free but what about the updates ??

Spywares and Adwares constantly change, there is hardly any updates from this software . Maybe I am configuring it wrong, I hardly get any updates from this software.

Is it only me ?? Crying or Very sad

That does not answer the question, there are no updates for this

program. The only updates that I ever got is the only one, that got install when I was installeed Spybot.

its been a week or so since the last update! if you installed it since than you will just have to wait like the rest f us.
if you installed farther back than that you may have a problem.

I think it's very unfortunate that you are clueless to one of the things that makes SSD a better tool than most.

SSD employs a beta program that publically tests both detections and functions. This increases the likelyhood that users wont experience F/Ps & bugs.

If you actually examine most of the updates by other well known products, you will note the same as many of us in the know...you will see that most of those so called updates are really only revisions made after the public guinea pigs report all the associated probs.

Since I am so "Clueless " to Spybot S&D , maybe the public needs you to "Clue" them in , the intricacies of Spybot S&D . Since you are so "smart ", "so-weii-nform " , and " knowlegeable " about Spyware and Adware.

At least, I have the guts to ask the "Dumb " question. As you know very well, " There are no dumb questions only dumb answers "

Did my use of the word 'clueless' used to depict one instance of missing knowledge really offend you so much? Or was it the fact that you couldn't debate the issue, the cause for the reaction?

Either way, if you do care to debate the issue, I'm ready. Smile

It is not so much I did not like your response. This is a public Forum and please refrain from such "personal " so call "attack " on someone , you don't even know.
Think about your response, how much more attractive and appreciative , it is with the omission of calling someone "clueless" and "unfortunate"
If I read the response with the omission of those inflammatory words, don't you think I will ponder and say to myself, hey Mikey is so insightful & knowlegdeable about S&D . Maybe , I could PM and engage in a dialoge with him.
Instead what am I doing writung this ??

Perhaps my English isn't so good being a native Texan and all. Perhaps I should have used a word like 'unaware' instead of 'clueless'. I don't know. I'm a plain spoken soul. There was NO 'attack' intended.
