|
|
Listed below are clean Operating System Installs. This is the minimum required to show in a Hijackthis Log for the OS to run.
Do not delete any of these entries in your cleaning process.
At the top are the new logs for Hijackthis ver 1.98.2 incluing SP2 for XP, followed by 1.97.7 for reference in case someone posts from an earlier version.
This data was compiled from Installing each OS from a legitimate Microsoft Disk onto a reformatted Hard Drive, installing a generic LAN card and then retrieving all of the Windows Updates for each OS. That includes the non-critical updates.
Temp files, cookies etc have been deleted prior to running Hijackthis, to keep these logs as clean as possible.
Essentially, these should be completely clean representations of entries which should never be removed when cleaning a Hijackthis Log

Special note for installing hijackthis for the first time with SP2 installed:
SP2 Security Warning:
"This Publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software"
Answer = Run
Make sure that you DO NOT uncheck the box for Always ask before opening this file
We never know when a website is hijacked, ergo you don't want to agree to it automatically.
Better to have one minor prompt for an approved app, than hours of wasting our time trying to fix your problems. _________________ Proud member of the Chest Zipper Club! |
