I had Antivir for about half a year. And my computer had CRAZY computer crashes and my CPU would always go up to 100% !!
I sent an error report to Microsoft.com and they replied saying it was Antivir. I uninstalled it and those problems where gone! It's too bad because i really liked that antivirus program. If you do have Antivir for Xp, and you have crashing problems, or high CPU levels, Antivir may be the cause.

It might not be AntiVir causing the problem. I've installed it on a few XP units with no problems whatsoever. It might be conflicting with some other running process. You might want to ask at their support forums.
