Been working with PCs and Networks since late 70's / early 80's.
Most of my programming languages are dead (COBOL 77/ FORTRAN/Turbo PASCAL v3 and v4/ ADA / Batch files and scripts).
Present job is a LAN Admin at my current employer.
Been with hotmail since BEFORE Microsoft bought them out.
Newsgroups == Usenet
I've worked with Windows since 2.0 and DOS v3.30.
System 36 , AMDHAL and IBM 3090. CA-1, CA-7 and CICS are no strangers to me.
So ... Impress me

who programed the havening to refresh free hotmail ever 2 minuets or links in email don,t work? i realize this was most likely ordered by gates or one of his minions to sour the milk in free hotmail to make us all flock to his paid for crapware.
but in stead he has gained many new enemies!
my first computer was a trash 80 runing basic.

Actually, That was touted as a 'security feature' with hotmail around the turn of the century.

it did not do this at turn of century, but at turn of feb. 03 and its been a hatefull thing that microsucks did.
but i use firefox and jumplink its fixed microsucks built in boondoggle! made to make us hate them and it dose.
this was actually strike two with microsucks. strike 1 was my new computer 4 years ago had windoz m.e.
strike 3 was closeing free chat the reason i had got the new computer.
so than of course this year i tried to join boot camp and was told to
join spyware info,s boot camp. well and good but no microsucks equipted computer would let me acess that site!
so i stuck together a linux box and no problem. it has its drawbacks but there not purpousely built in to aqire more funds. lol
sorry but you did say you worked on hotmail. which i liked before it was all hacked up to make money for the megithion gates.

My bad. Let me re-phrase myself.
I never WORKED at hotmail.
I have HAD a hotmail.com account since March - April of '93.
I have worked (in the past as a contractor) for places such as Xerox, MCI , AT&T , and ARC/RC (American Red Cross / Red Crecent) ... and of course for the US Government.
I was just qualifying my time-in-service with computers.
(Oops. I'm blushing. My age is showing)
BTW, you said you needed Win98 or better so you installed SUSE v9 ? Why would you do that ? After all, MAC users are finding our that they are now extremely hackable (see Root Hack) since they're running their OS X on top of OpenBSD. (It's not a new trick. Banyan networks did this when they moved from rev 6 to rev 8 of Banyan-ware). Linux is not the answer ... it's just an alternative.

i said no windows machine would log on to swi info site. 98-m.e-xp
and suse would. as for mac i only ever used one once to check my email.
any thing can be hacked. windows is so easy it would seam any script kiddy can do it.

Necros is from "Necros D'Iberville" . A very old RPG character I've played thru the years and seemed to stick. I've used Necros in game such as Archmage, Nationstates (RPG based) as well as Tribes and UnReal Tournement (1st player shooters). |
