I have seen this in several computers in the last few weeks, seemed to start with the latest flash r45 update. 64bit ie is failing users after the update so, they look to update the computer with anything adobe has a brand on trying to fix it. Flash has a link on the update stating that 64bit IE doesn't work and to switch to 32/x86 version. Most people including me don't see that link. Even if they see it, it doesn't really register in the brain. People get an attitude toward it like "Screw this i'll show it who is boss" and just start downloading updates. Adobe air, flash, shockwave, reader, ... then flash plugins and extensions, anything with the word "Flash, Flashwave, Flashblock, Shockwave...
Anyway many plugins are downloaded some including mywebsearch - oh joy!
I am also seeing coolwebsearch such as hotlinks.com being unchecked in SpywareBlaster 4.2 _________________ Seeing the LIGHT at the end of the tunnel depends on which end you are heading toward... |

And this is why I refuse to put anything Flash on any personal website of mine. The spousal insistence that a Flash element be part of $company_website is a grinding point of contention between us, but it hasn't resulted in divorce proceedings...yet. _________________ - Datababe

More than good reason I never have ActiveX on, that is all it needs, for flash to install exploits and then use the ActiveX to infect even more. |

Just curious?
How many of us are seeing injected PDFs, or clickjacked hyperlinks, maybe infected html? |
