I asked a similar question a few months ago. but my setup has changed. I'm now running a new computer with Win 7 Home Premium, 64-bit (had to turn off UAC in order to run Dragon Naturally Speaking).
My current security combo is:
COMODO Firewall
Panda Cloud Antivirus running in "live" mode
Spyware Blaster
WinPatrol for behavior checks
WOT for the net
SUPER Antispyware is installed, but not active, as is Spybot S&D, (with TeaTimer turned off). I had to remove Threatfire (sob), as it didn't play well with some 64-bit programs. Windows Defender runs a quick check weekly.
?Does this look like an adequate plan for someone who's not into downloading warez, cracks, etc.? If a suspicious file does turn up, I refer it to the VIRUSTOTAL website. |

P.S.
I should mention that Spybot also scans weekly, and that I'm NOT sure how to set Comodo "Defense + Settings level (so I've DISABLED it for now, in case it conflicts with another "real-time" app). |

I got rid of all that stuff and just run Microsoft Security Essentials. It's made for Windows 7 and offers fantastic protection and is free. You can keep Win Patrol if you wish. http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/ |
