Trash your email address, seeing that no one has the info to stop this spam or any whereabouts of knowing about it, Suzi, if I get this kind of spam, should I delete my email address knowing that they are diffcult to get rid of?

I get some of those too, but they are filtered out at the server level and diverted so they never get to my inbox. Are you getting them at your ISP email account, or another account like hotmail or gmail?

You won't like this, but it is with Yahoo, apparently I left a similar topic on here but none dared to respond to it, and more disterbing, this spam started out on LiveJournal's messanger service after [SUP] gained full ownership of the LiveJournal service, and in turned invited RU and UA based botnets to opt-in many of it's members to many kinds of spam, mostly in Cryillic and some being phishers too, I will link you the topic of the example of spam that I got as well as the DNS info, PS, this latest spam run is using Xinnet for the mail services and hosting on a BOGON service to escape being blacklisted. The topic is named "Cyrillic Spam, Russian Spam" and is in this forum.

Sorry, I don't recall a similar topic on this. If no one replied, it's probably because they didn't know what to say or have any advice or info on it. Don't take it personally.

Do you mark the messages as spam in Yahoo mail? Yahoo has good spam filters if you use them, at least that's been my experience.

Yea, but knowing me, it keeps getting my attention as a result of the mess, and sometimes they may show up in the inbox too,

BTW I also have some info that may also crack the case of how I got this, and lately it seems Live Journal in the US made a deal to take ownership with [SUP], and as a result many of it's services share with Live Journal Russia (livejournal.ru), well knowing the issue at hand I found out from alternate DNS service that some we known botnet harversters(that break Chapecha) seem to be making accounts on LJ's US site, lately this included a few things such as Child Porn, Pharma Spam, and recently Job Employment and Siminar spam directed to the Ukraine, and lately here is the culprit that may speak for the botnet upheavel,

http://stat.nic.ru/en_ru/2007/05/23/ns.parkline.ru.otd-20070523.shtml

Also the last part of the DNS Records pointed for infomation,

% Information related to '85.202.240.0/20AS44696'

And this contact address may still be in use, and can likely be used to relay botnets, a sign that shows that spam may still be routed alternitively, and I guess that makes many wonder why deleting their email account if they got tagged by these botnets on LJ would solve the problem, because in the end Russians are too crafty.

Apparently it seems it is not just LiveJournal and [SUP], Grant Park Telecom and now a company that had rumors of spreading malware throughout it's network, but also apparently were the botnets that harvested LJ usernames and Email addresses in both Russia and the US, and the company is called "Internet Invest Ltd" also a form of a marketing site or linked with SITEMARKET listed in the alternate DNS fworded lookups, chances are LJ made a deal with the devil when they sold the domain and service to a Russian Company that was already infested with botnets, that means this could be the third and finial time I maybe using Yahoo after trashing this one,

The fact is, when Cyrillic Spam from Internet Invest Ltd Opts you in, it is permanent Opt-In, and there is no way out of it, also it puts that Email address at threat with such spammers are 419ers and Fake Dating sites, in turn LiveJournal has become a ground that US security is no longer valid, and Russia is in control of it.

Well site advisor already has given the heads up about this,

"Operator of this website contantly spam. Just look their phone-numbers at Google and you will see it.

Also unsubscribe form (one at right side of website) is fake and result in "No input file specified." for years !"

Unfortunately I will have to change my Email address and destory it in order to give These botnets from LiveJournal to continue to play harsh on it's members.

I am not sure about your story here, but I do know that Russian spammers will spam whatever email address they can find online, even ones that are not affiliate with the Russian language by any stretch of the imagination. And spam hard they do. Many of the spams themselves pertain to Russian readers only and they don't care or whitelist. The Russian-language spammers just spam huge volumes from their botnets.
