Hi i wanted to ask about Microsoft Security Essentials.program .
I downloaded it but when i go to install it it tells me to get rid of any other antiviruses i have and anti spyware and fire wall programs i have .
Is it a good program ? and do i really have to uninstall everything i have on my laptop ?
As it says if i dont it might cause conflicts and will crash
Can some one give me info
whats best to do
Thanks

You will need to uninstall any antivirus software you already have installed. This is standard procedure when installing any antivirus software as the real time protection of different antiviruses will often cause conflicts with one another, which commonly leads to blue screens of death or Windows freezing up.
However there should be no need to remove antispyware or firewalls.
If you've got already got a good antivirus program installed then you'd be better off sticking with that, as from what I've read the detection rates in Security Essentials aren't that good. |
