Hello Warriors,
MSA.EXE continually tries to access the internet. This just recently started happening. I'm not using MS AntiVirus...it's turned off. I've seen many web sites claiming to be able to repair this problem, but the solution is usually a scan. If you want the fix, come buy something.
I have run Superantispyware, Avira antivirus, and Adware. They didn't touch it. I downloaded Spybot S&D, did an update, and ran the program. It started loading the program and never stopped. I tried to end the task but it wouldn't end. I think it screwed my registry because now I can't run anything, and I mean anything. I can explore files, look at pics, but not much else. Can't even power off the system.
I did a registry backup as Spybot suggested, prior to running the program. How do I restore the backup to see if that's the problem??
Do you have a quick fix for the MSA.exe, without having a HijackThis log? Thanks for your help.

Roger,
Thanks for the quick response, and info on Malwarebytes. I'll get it downloaded as soon as I restore to a good registry, and see if that gets me operational again. Talk soon.
