The HJT forum is not the location for posts of this type, so I've moved your topic to a more suitable location.
If you are experiencing difficulties with your computer and need help, post a HijackThis log in the "HijackThis Logs- Help with spyware removal" forum and wait for a helper to answer you. _________________ Gary R Administrator at Malware Removal University

Thanks for the information.
I'm not a particular fan of McAfee, but since it's free I'm going to try it - just installing it now. |

Considering McAuful's long history of trashing sys when trying to remove F/Ps, I suggest you double check each item found before 'fixing'. Actually, that's a good idea with the use of any scanner but especially with this crappy ware. At least they keep all the local repair techs in bussiness.
Gee, I'm so glad that I don't need scanners anymore...since early 2002. I still find it hard to believe that so many folks still use scanners to periodically rip the guts out of their sys...usually using more than one scanner at a time. Then these same folk can't understand why their sys and wares don't function properly anymore. So sad. _________________ -

Well at least it is free as it not worth money in my opinion.
Also it uninstalled cleanly on my notebook. Which is good as there is no way I would want to keep this garbage on my computer even if it is free. |
