|
|
I downloaded Yahoo! Messenger last nite. Right after that, I double-clicked on an icon I have for one of my more commonly used directories and it wouldn't open. It also crashed my "Active Desktop" and my "System Tray."
I rebooted.
Then I tried "My Computer" and got the same result.
So, I rebooted again and went to my "Run" button and was able to browse to the "Windows" directory. From there, I tried to run "explorer.exe" and that had the exact same result.
It's a real pain trying to get to all my files using the "Run" and then "Browse" buttons. I really miss "explorer.exe.
I also ran "msconfig" and started in "Diagnostic mode" and tried "explore.exe" again. Same result. (Aaaarrrrgh!)
Can someone please offer some good advice.
Some additional Info:
I was getting a message at start-up regarding "bridge.dll".
I managed to copy a reg file from another site to eliminate the message, but is the cause still there. I ran Ad-aware and found nothing. I ran Norton AV 2003 two times and found nothing.
HELP!!!
oh, . . . Thank you. |

Better to look in the Yahoo FAQ's for a fix, and where to go from there.
Just my opinion, but it might get more attention. _________________ Proud member of the Chest Zipper Club! |
