Why hasn't it been updated in the last few months? There must have been dozens of new rogue anti-spyware made in the last few months.

The only person who can answer that question is Eric Howes, forum name eburger68. You can PM him or email him. His email address is on the front page of the site and in his forum profile.

Nemesis6:

There is an update in the works -- a rather large one at that.

Thank Allah! I was beginning to hope that the Russ... I mean the malware authors finally stopped trying to pollute the waters. How many have popped up since it was last updated? 10? 20? An approximate estimate would be nice.

That question was asked near the end of August 2006, the "rogue list" was lasted updated in May 2006, it's now January 2008. Hopefully an updated "rogue list" will be forthcoming soon... I was reliant on it myself, and am sure others benefited from it as well.

December 06, actually. However, a lot of the new rogues are already reported here by the spyware experts.

www.malwarebytes.org forums have considerable information regarding current rogues. Also, a software "Rogue Remover" for them is available at the site.

No, I don't work for them!

Thanks for the reply, tripkill.

Hmmm, maybe the rogue list URL has changed, and thus I need to update my bookmarks? Currently, I have the following URL bookmarked:

http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm -- near the top of that page, it states: "Last Updated: May 4, 2007"

I really liked the information and layout provided on that web page. Does your reply mean that the FORUMS are now the only place where spywarewarrior's updated listings can be found? Neutral

Nah, the rogue software URL's almost never change unless a government decides to take it down, the software moves instead of just expanding or infecting other site, or the hosting domain takes down the rogue site.

Well, for this site, until Eric's big update to the list he mentioned a time ago. But, you can easily find info on blogs and other anti-spyware forums.
