Notes: Weatherbug and MySearch Bar (which is an optional program offered during the Weatherbug installation) were installed onto a test computer. Twelve anti-spyware applications were then run, all with the latest publicly available program versions and definitions for those products. No removals were performed.

Scan notes:

  • CounterSpy detected a small number of files as "WeatherInst Adware," and presented a default action of "Quarantine." The same files, along with the remaining Weatherbug files and Registry entries, were also detected as "Weatherbug" with a default action of "Ignore."
